Whats covered?
Typically, the actual leak repair is not covered, as insurance companies consider this an
improvement. However, the repair is usually the simplest and least expensive part of leak
detection. Our invoice will detail the leak detection, access, and repair, enabling you to
maximize reimbursement from your insurer quickly and efficiently.
We recommend using our
same-day repair service to avoid delays, ensuring the leak is promptly stopped and
minimizing property damage. Our engineer will discuss the best approach for accessing and
repairing the leak and provide a time and work estimate on the day of service.
Making A Claim
Some insurance policies require water damage to make a 'Trace and Access' claim. While
signs of water damage, such as peeling paint, bubbling, or warped flooring, can be evident,
many properties might show no obvious signs.
However, in 99% of cases, a leak will have caused dampness, which is considered water damage and requires drying. As part of our service, we offer a written report with photographs of any water damage and detailed moisture readings to confirm dampness.

FREE WATER DAMAGE Assessment
Once a leak is detected, it should validate an 'Escape of Water' insurance claim. A long-term
leak likely causes damage that requires specialist drying. Although this damage might not be immediately visible, it can lead to secondary issues such as Mold, condensation, floor finish damage, wood rot, damaged plaster, and spoiled decoration if left unaddressed.
We provide a FREE water damage assessment within our initial visit, including moisture mapping to identify hidden damage. We will prepare a FREE report with a cost estimate and detailed
damage repair schedule. Our team is experienced in working with insurance companies and meeting with Loss Adjusters to agree on the scope and direction of building insurance repairs. In summary, we manage all aspects of your project, from locating and repairing the leak to the strip-out, drying, and reinstatement processes.
